How to Style a Console Table with Vintage Pieces
A console table is a small stage. It can make an entry, hallway, living room, or dining room feel considered with just a few good pieces.
I usually start with height. That might be an antique mirror, a piece of art, a tall lamp, or a pair of candlesticks. Then I add something low and useful: a bowl, tray, stack of books, or small decorative object.
A simple formula: mirror or art, lamp or candlestick, books, bowl, and one odd thing with charm. The odd thing is often what gives the arrangement life.
Symmetry can be beautiful, but it does not have to be stiff. A pair of Staffordshire dogs, lamps, or candlesticks can anchor the table while smaller objects make it feel relaxed.
The goal is not perfection. The goal is a first impression with a little soul.
