About The Art of Revival
The Art of Revival is a Nashville-based source for antique and vintage pieces with history, patina, and a point of view. Every piece is chosen for the way it can change a room: the shape of a painted Swedish sofa, the glow of old giltwood, the quiet authority of an original painting, the usefulness of a stool, mirror, lamp, or small object that feels like it has always belonged.
We believe old things make rooms feel more alive. A home should not look ordered from one place at one time. It should feel gathered, layered, and personal, with pieces that carry evidence of age, travel, repair, and use.
What we look for
Our edit is rooted in European antiques, Swedish and Gustavian forms, original art, lighting, mirrors, seating, tabletop, and decorative objects. We look for pieces with strong silhouettes, honest materials, beautiful surface, and the kind of imperfection that gives a room depth.
Most pieces are one of one. When something sells, it usually cannot be reordered. That is part of the magic, and part of why we try to describe each item clearly before it leaves us.
Authenticity, condition, and patina
Antique and vintage pieces are not new objects. They often show age-related wear, old repairs, surface variation, paint loss, marks, chips, oxidation, upholstery wear, rewiring needs, or other signs of use. We consider those details part of the story, and we include condition notes and photographs so you can buy with confidence.
When age, origin, maker, or period is known, we include it. When a piece is described as style, manner, attributed, or later, that language is intentional. We would rather be clear than overstate.
