<h2>Where did they come from?</h2>

<p>Sourced in Sweden, these chairs date to the mid-20th century and were made in the Gustavian taste — a style beloved for its restrained elegance, soft painted finishes, and neoclassical influence.</p>

<p>Swedish Gustavian pieces remain some of our favorite forms to source because they blend so effortlessly into both traditional and modern interiors.</p>

<h2>Why did I choose them?</h2>

<p>I loved the shape and scale of these immediately. The carved frames feel elegant without being overly formal, and the worn painted finish gives them the softness that makes Swedish furniture so easy to live with.</p>

<p>They are beautiful as-is, but would also be incredible reupholstered in a stripe, linen, mohair, or floral block print for a completely different look.</p>
