What is it? A low cocktail table in the Maison Jansen tradition — painted base, verre églomisé top (glass reverse-gilded in the neoclassical taste), 42 inches wide.
Where did it come from? Late 20th century production in the Maison Jansen style.
Why did I choose it? The combination of lacquer and gilded glass is Paris in the 1930s. It makes every room it enters feel curated.
Condition: Good. Some age-appropriate wear to the painted base. Églomisé top intact.
Painted wood, verre églomisé glass top
