What is it?
Six Swedish Rococo painted dining chairs upholstered in Stig Lindberg's iconic "Melodi" linen — the mid-century botanical print produced by Nordiska Kompaniet. Carved painted frames, set of six.

Where did it come from?
Sweden, mid 20th century. Sourced through auction.

Why did I choose it?
Stig Lindberg's Melodi fabric on antique Swedish frames is a combination that only happens by luck. I couldn't leave it.

Condition:
Good. Painted frames show honest wear. Upholstery is original and intact with minor fading consistent with age.

  • Painted wood, Stig Lindberg "Melodi" upholstery
  • 18.1"W × 23.6"D × 40.2"H each
  • Set of six

Curator's note

Chosen for that restrained Swedish feeling: pale surface, graceful scale, and quiet old-world character.
