What is it? Three carved wood panels in the Renaissance Revival manner — deeply worked with architectural foliate scrollwork, figural elements, and classical ornament. Each panel is a complete composition.
Where did it come from? Italy, 19th century, with documented provenance from St. Peter's Basilica, Rome.
Why did I choose it? Provenance like this doesn't come around often. These panels have a story worth telling — and they look extraordinary grouped on a wall.
Condition: Good, consistent with age. Original carving intact throughout.
